508.dev Soundboard is an Android sound mixer that plays looping audio files selected by the user. Multiple sounds can play at the same time, and each has an independent volume control, allowing users to build a layered ambience such as rain, a fan, and background conversation. Audio files are selected through Android’s file picker and are played in place rather than copied or moved. The app remembers the selected files using the permissions granted for each one. Sounds continue in the background with the screen off, and a notification shows how many are active and offers a Stop all control. Users can rename, reorder, and sort the soundboard. The app has no internet permission, accounts, network calls, telemetry, ads, or tracking. It is free software under GPL version 3. The mixer is intended for tabletop ambience, sleep soundscapes, or any user-selected audio that benefits from simultaneous looping and separate volume levels.
