About 8-Bit-Wonders
8-Bit-Wonders is an Android emulator for classic Commodore 8-bit computers, with a built-in game collection. It supports systems including the C64, VIC-20, PET, C128, Plus/4, and C16. Disk and tape formats supported by the underlying emulator can be used, and users can import additional games and applications in supported archive formats. Controls include physical joysticks, gamepads, mice, virtual touch controls, and hardware or virtual keyboards with customizable layouts. Save states and a time-machine feature let players rewind and resume gameplay. CRT emulation recreates the look of an older display. The app also supports button mapping, auto-fire, and a demo mode for playing audio or showing visual demos without the normal Android interface. 8-Bit-Wonders runs on phones, tablets, and Android TV. It is still in development. The app can retrieve additional content from external archives, so network access is used when users download material; the supplied description says personal data is not collected. It combines emulation, game controls, visual effects, and built-in titles in a mobile retro-computing environment.
