About ACS
ACS, or Admin Config Service, is a command-line interface for managing configuration and administrative tasks in a cloud platform. It lets users perform many self-service configuration operations from a terminal and invokes the corresponding service API operations behind the scenes. This means users can work through CLI commands without having to know the details of individual API endpoints. The tool is intended for administrators who manage cloud environments and want to perform configuration tasks directly from a command line. ACS is associated with Splunk Cloud Platform management. It provides command-line access to the platform’s Admin Config Service operations, rather than acting as a general cloud-management client. The specific tasks available depend on the service’s supported operations.
