About Active@ Disk Editor
Active@ Disk Editor is a low-level utility for inspecting and editing raw data on physical disks. It presents sectors and structures from disks, volumes, partitions, and files, with templates for navigating recognized formats. The evidence lists support for structures associated with MBR and GPT partitioning and file systems including NTFS, FAT, exFAT, HFS+, ext variants, UFS, and LDM. Changes made in the hexadecimal, text, or template views are synchronized across those views, so the same underlying data can be examined in different representations. This is a technical inspection and editing tool for disk structures, not a general text editor. Editing raw storage data can affect files and volumes, so its role is specialized.
