About Anecdote
Anecdote is a lightweight feed reader for browsing quote and entertainment websites. It includes image and video feeds, quote collections, infinite scrolling, and pull-to-refresh. Users can add their own website feeds if they know enough HTML to configure them. Anecdote is intended for reading short items from multiple sites in one interface, with an option to share an item from the feed. It does not host the content itself. The product description states that crash information and some usage information, such as whether an item is shared, are sent to an external analytics service. It contains no advertisements or background tasks according to the description. Users who add custom sites can tailor the reader to their own sources, while built-in feeds provide a starting point for browsing quotes and other short content.
