About Aperio
Aperio is a lightweight background service for AI motorized-gimbal webcams. It replaces the camera vendor’s companion application and can move the camera to a saved starting position when an application opens the camera. It also enables the webcam’s AI tracking feature during camera use. The software is intended to run in the background, managing camera behavior without requiring users to open a separate vendor utility. Its startup position and automatic tracking support a workflow in which the camera adjusts itself when conferencing or recording software begins using it. Aperio does not send telemetry, according to its product description. It is useful for people who want to control supported gimbal webcams with a small local service and avoid running the vendor companion application.
