About AppReadWriteCounter
AppReadWriteCounter shows file read and write activity for applications running on Windows. It displays the number of bytes and operations read or written, along with current calculated transfer speeds and details about the application. The counters are grouped by application rather than by individual process, so multiple processes belonging to the same application appear together. Entries continue to update if the application is closed and started again, until the list or selected counters are reset. This gives users a way to observe which applications are performing file I/O and how much activity is occurring. The tool reports activity counters; it does not identify whether that activity is appropriate or optimize the applications producing it.
