About Batch File Split & Join Free Edition
Batch File Split & Join Free Edition splits and combines multiple text or binary files. A file can be divided by character, line, or byte units, depending on whether it contains text or binary data. Split criteria include a chosen separator, a target number of parts, or a desired part size. Files can later be joined in a specified order, matching lines, characters, or bytes as appropriate. The application supports batch workflows across many files and offers manual, continuous, scheduled or triggered, and console modes, along with Windows Explorer access. Processed files can be saved to a specified output directory and named using the original names or a mask. Search options can select which files enter the operation. This utility is useful for dividing large files into manageable pieces or reassembling parts in a controlled order. The evidence does not specify whether split parts are automatically named to preserve ordering or how mismatched inputs are handled. Its established capabilities are configurable splitting and joining for text and binary files.
