About Bean Network Tester
Bean Network Tester simulates poor network conditions for a selected Windows application. It can add latency, jitter, packet loss, corruption, duplication, and bandwidth limits to that application’s traffic, allowing developers to test how software behaves on unreliable connections. The tool reports test outcomes using exit codes, making it suitable for automated pipelines as well as interactive checks. Profiles can be saved, and the application can export CSV results. It requires administrator rights to capture and shape traffic, and requests those permissions when needed. Bean Network Tester is useful for testing resilience in applications that rely on network communication, without changing the behavior of unrelated applications.
