About BPMDetect
BPMDetect analyzes audio files to estimate their tempo in beats per minute (BPM). It can process audio formats readable by FFmpeg, use a BPM-detection library to calculate a tempo, and write the detected value into the file's metadata. After detection, users can adjust the BPM if needed with the built-in player. This lets them listen to the audio while reviewing the estimate, then correct the value before relying on it elsewhere. Storing the result in metadata makes the tempo available alongside the audio file for later organization or music work. BPMDetect is intended for people who need tempo information from audio files. Its workflow combines broad format decoding, automatic BPM analysis, listening and adjustment, and metadata writing. It is available for Windows.
