About CONTENTdm Project Client
CONTENTdm Project Client is a desktop tool for preparing and submitting digital items to a CONTENTdm collection. It supports batch addition of items through tab-delimited files, spreadsheet-style metadata editing, compound objects, preview-image manipulation, OCR text generation, and reusable templates. Work is organized into projects, each connected to one collection; multiple projects can contribute to the same collection. After items and metadata are prepared, they can be uploaded to the server for administrative review and approval before being included in the searchable index. This supports a structured workflow for building a digital collection, from item preparation through review and public discovery. The collection structure and approval process are managed in the connected system.
