About darktable
darktable is an open-source photography workflow application and RAW developer. It manages digital negatives in a database and presents them in a zoomable lighttable for browsing and selection. The darkroom tools develop RAW images and enhance photographs while keeping edits non-destructive, so the original capture remains unchanged through the editing pipeline. The application includes professional color-management features and uses GPU acceleration where available. Its modular processing architecture ranges from common adjustments such as cropping and exposure to more specialized image operations. darktable can also support tethered shooting, letting photographers capture images directly into the workflow. It is designed to help manage and process large collections of photographs from import through editing and export, combining library organization with detailed image development in one desktop application.
