About DeskRipple
DeskRipple organizes Windows 10 and 11 desktop shortcuts into expandable folders. Each group appears as a single desktop icon and opens into a panel when clicked or hovered over. Five layouts are available: Grid, Column, Row, Fan, and Ring. Panels can be themed with adjustable opacity, snap to the desktop grid, and account for different monitor scaling. The tool can accept `.lnk` shortcuts, `.url` links, files, and Microsoft Store applications. It keeps its own copies of shortcuts and web links so the entries can remain even if the original is moved or deleted. Named desktop profiles let users switch between different arrangements. By default, moving an existing desktop shortcut into a folder archives the original and restores it if the entry is removed or the app is uninstalled. DeskRipple provides a more compact way to group shortcuts while preserving a path back to the original desktop layout.
