About Desktop Pet
Desktop Pet is a small desktop companion that displays an animated animal in a transparent overlay. The pet follows the cursor, sits when it catches up, and falls asleep when left alone. The window is click-through and does not take focus, so the character can remain visible without blocking normal work or mouse interaction. The evidence lists several animal choices and describes the application as open source. It also states that the program does not use network access or collect data. Its purpose is decorative rather than functional: it adds an animated companion to the desktop without turning into a separate window the user must operate.
