About DFexplore
DFexplore is a desktop electronic data capture application for entering, reviewing, and modifying clinical study participant data. Users can submit data over the internet to a coordinating site’s DFdiscover server. Its interface uses a subject-binder model and can present data-entry screens that match paper forms, helping study teams transition between paper and electronic collection. Status icons, color cues, messages, and interactive edit checks guide data entry. Query and Reason windows let users respond to questions from the coordinating site or explain unusual values, while a Missing Value window applies standard missing-value codes. DFexplore is part of a broader clinical study management system that can combine electronic entry with paper, scanned, or faxed collection. It is designed to support structured, reviewable data entry in clinical research.
