About DFsend
DFsend is a desktop application for transmitting scanned paper case-report forms from a local computer to a DFdiscover study server. It sends PDF study documents over the internet without requiring users to access the study database directly. This provides a dedicated workflow for submitting scanned paperwork to the study team. The application includes user authentication, encryption, and tracking. It is intended as an alternative to sending study forms by fax or email, keeping document submission within the study platform’s process. DFsend is part of the DFdiscover clinical study environment and depends on access to a configured study server. Its function is document transfer rather than data entry or analysis.
