About DHCPLogView
DHCPLogView monitors DHCP requests made by devices on a Windows network and displays information about them. Records can include the time of the request, requested IP address, device name, hardware address, and vendor or user-class fields. This provides administrators with a view of devices seeking network configuration and the addresses they request. The tool is useful for reviewing DHCP activity during network setup or troubleshooting, particularly when a device is not receiving the expected address. Its view depends on requests visible to the computer and the network environment. DHCPLogView observes and displays requests; it does not itself assign addresses or replace the network’s DHCP server.
