About digiCentral Authenticate
digiCentral Authenticate makes a company card available to authenticate remote downloads. The user places the card in a card reader connected to the computer, and the software exposes it for use when a remote vehicle unit download needs company-card authentication. This supports a remote-download workflow in which the card remains physically present at the computer while the vehicle unit is elsewhere. The application acts as the link between the card reader and the download process, allowing the card's authentication role to be used remotely without moving it to the vehicle. digiCentral Authenticate is intended for organizations that perform remote tachograph downloads and need to use a company card for authentication. It depends on the company card being inserted in a computer's card reader and is focused on making that card available to the remote download process.
