About Dragonframe
Dragonframe is a stop-motion animation application built around capturing and arranging images one frame at a time. Its live view can blend the current camera image with captured frames using onion skinning, helping animators judge movement between successive poses. Camera controls include settings such as ISO, aperture, and focus, along with exposure warnings and aspect-ratio guides. The software also supports keyframed lighting control across as many as 512 channels when used with the required lighting hardware, and can synchronize motion-control rigs such as dollies and sliders. Audio features include a multitrack timeline, phoneme assignment for dialogue, and facial-animation tools. Stereoscopic workflows, depth maps, and connections to 3D animation tools are also described. Together, these capabilities support coordinated image capture, lighting, camera movement, sound, and compositing in stop-motion production.
