About dwm_eotf_rs
dwm_eotf_rs is a Windows utility that adjusts the desktop window manager’s handling of SDR-to-HDR color conversion by patching the relevant display shaders. It is an alternative implementation of the same general correction approach used by related utilities. The application adds system-tray controls, automatic startup and shader dumping. These features provide ways to manage the adjustment and inspect the shader data involved in the process. Tray controls keep the setting accessible during normal desktop use. dwm_eotf_rs works by reading the loaded desktop window manager module, modifying the shaders responsible for the conversion and writing the changes back. It is intended for users addressing color-conversion behavior in Windows’ desktop composition.
