About eChess
eChess is a chess program for playing with friends, either locally or online. It centers on a familiar chessboard and the standard turn-based game, with the option to play together in person or connect over a network. This gives players a single program for casual matches in different settings. The local mode suits two people sharing a computer, while online play allows friends to use separate devices and still play against one another. eChess is centered on friend-focused multiplayer chess, with both local and online ways to play. The application is listed for Windows. Its central use is straightforward: start a chess match and play through the board, choosing local or online play according to where the participants are.
