About ExpertGPS
ExpertGPS is a GPS mapping application for planning routes and working with geographic data. It can display waypoints and track logs over aerial photographs or US topographic maps, helping users see where a route goes or review a recorded trip. The program transfers route data to compatible GPS receivers and converts among GPS, GIS, and CAD formats, including GPX, KML/KMZ, CSV/TXT, shapefiles, and DXF. Users can reproject data between geographic coordinate systems and change datums. It can also calculate area, distance, elevation, and grade. ExpertGPS is intended for people planning outdoor trips or working with mapping data.
