About FFX Compatibility Tool
FFX Compatibility Tool inspects and converts effect preset files used by a video compositing application. It can downgrade presets for compatibility with older releases, remove effects whose required plugins are not installed, and show the contents of a preset before conversion. The evidence describes full conversion to the native format of an older version and native-format effect removal for newer targets. It runs offline as a portable Windows executable. This makes it useful when a preset needs to be reused across software versions or when a project contains effects unavailable on another workstation. The tool handles preset files; the supplied description does not say it converts complete video projects or replaces missing effects.
