About GerbView
GerbView is a viewer, printer, and converter for electronic board-design and manufacturing files. It supports Gerber formats RS-274D and RS-274X, as well as ODB++, Excellon, PDF, PLT, and several other formats. Users can view a design on screen or in printed form, including layouts that combine multiple files as layers in a workspace. A workspace can hold one or more supported files and can be saved for later use. The workspace references the design files, allowing the user to reopen the assembled view. Its size can be set to a standard paper format or a custom size. GerbView can also export individual layers or the complete workspace to raster images such as TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP, with user control over resolution and color count. The program can convert older RS-274D Gerber files to the extended RS-274X format. This lets users prepare design data in a format that carries aperture information. GerbView is suited to inspecting, printing, and converting board-design files before manufacturing.
