About Get My IP
Get My IP displays IP address and geolocation information from a provider selected by the user. It can show public network information, helping users see how an external service identifies their connection and approximate location. The application presents information returned by the selected provider; it does not change the IP address or geolocation that the provider reports. The external IP section displays either IPv4 or IPv6 information at a time, and users can switch the selected provider in settings. Get My IP is intended for Windows users who want to inspect their current network address and associated geolocation data. Its role is informational and depends on the selected provider's results.
