About Git Pin
Git Pin adds or removes shortcuts for Git repositories in the operating system's application launcher. This lets a user pin a project as a launchable item rather than navigating to its folder each time. The tool provides Git commands for creating and removing these shortcuts, with support for configuring which code editor opens a pinned project. Git Pin works across Windows, Linux, and macOS and uses each platform's native launcher format. Before replacing or deleting a shortcut, it checks the associated metadata and refuses to remove items it does not recognize. This helps protect unrelated launcher entries. The tool is intended for developers who want quick access to frequently used projects from the desktop. Its documented role is organizing project launchers through Git commands and configurable editor selection.
