About Hiroba
Hiroba is an always-available presence space for remote teams. Participants appear on a shared two-dimensional floor, can move toward one another for spatial voice, or can page a teammate directly. The floor layout gives a visual sense of who is around, while proximity-based voice offers a way to start informal conversations without scheduling a formal meeting. Its voice traffic is described as peer-to-peer using WebRTC, rather than passing through the service’s server. The product can be used through a hosted edition or by running a self-hosted server. These options support teams that want a lightweight shared presence environment and differ in who operates the service infrastructure.
