About HONJIN

HONJIN collects events from tools and services that a user configures and presents them in a single chronological stream. It can watch sites, folders, APIs, commands, releases, and MCP servers for changes. Users can attach notes, called cards, to events so that relevant observations and results remain connected to what happened. The application stores collected events in a plain append-only JSONL file on the local computer and is described as uploading nothing. Its extension system uses files to define sources, monitored items, and sandboxed views, allowing users to adapt what is collected and displayed. This is useful for people who want a daily activity log across several tools without opening each dashboard. HONJIN is a Windows desktop app; it communicates with configured endpoints and performs update checks.
