About hydrus-network
Hydrus Network is a desktop application for organizing large media collections through tags and an internal database. It supports images, including JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, WebP, and BMP; video such as WebM, MP4, MPEG, AVI, MOV, MKV, FLV, and WMV; audio such as MP3, FLAC, Ogg, and WMA; and other items including SWF, PDF, PSD, ZIP, RAR, and 7z. Instead of relying only on folders, users can tag files and browse by those tags. The client can import files, download material from supported sites, parse tags, and subscribe to searches that repeat periodically. Files and tags can also be shared through user-run servers. The record describes builds for Windows, Linux, and macOS, with possible limitations on some systems. Hydrus is designed for personal collections and flexible organization, while its import and download support depends on the site-specific tools available.
