About InstalledPackagesView
InstalledPackagesView lists software installed through Windows Installer and shows associated files, registry entries, and .NET assemblies. For each package, it can display its name, version, install date, estimated size, location, and related installer information. It can inspect the local system or packages on an external drive from another installation. This helps users review what an installer-based package added and where its components are associated. The utility has a defined scope: it reports packages registered through Windows Installer and does not list software installed by other installation systems. It is an inventory and inspection tool, not a package remover or software updater.
