About itch
itch is a desktop client for browsing, installing, updating, and playing games and software from the itch.io service. Downloads are kept together in one library and can be updated automatically, giving users a centralized place to manage content they obtain through the service. The application supports access to collections and purchases, and includes an in-app browser for discovering additional games. This combines discovery with local installation and launch, so users can move from finding a title to playing it through the same client. The product focuses on games and software associated with its service rather than serving as a general launcher for every game library. The supplied description does not specify supported platforms or update controls. Its established role is a desktop client for discovering, downloading, updating, and running indie games and software.
