About Kyno

Kyno is a media-management application for professional video workflows on Windows and macOS. It can preview, back up, ingest, annotate, organize, convert, trim, rename and add metadata to footage from many camera types. A drill-down view can filter the contents of large drives using media properties such as frame rate and resolution. On location, users can back up and preview material, annotate clips and prepare shot lists or dailies. In post-production, Kyno supports reviewing and selecting footage, transcoding proxy files and sending material to editing applications. Shared-storage workflows can use tags and search to locate assets across a team. Kyno can offload media to secondary storage using checksum verification and incremental backups that copy only changed data. It is intended for production teams managing footage from capture through editing and archive, with media-aware search and organization across the workflow.
