About LanSend
LanSend sends pop-up messages to selected computers or users on a local network. It does not require internet access, a dedicated server, or additional software on recipient computers, according to the product description. Users can choose recipients, reuse message presets, and review message history. A command-line interface supports automation, allowing messages to be sent from scripts as well as through the desktop application. This makes LanSend useful for short internal notifications within a local network. The supplied evidence does not describe encryption, delivery confirmation, or network discovery behavior. Its scope is LAN messaging rather than general-purpose chat or email. Recipients are chosen within the local network.
