About letshare
letshare is a terminal-based tool for sharing files with other devices on the same local network. It starts a local server for the share and uses multicast DNS to make that server discoverable to nearby devices. The text interface provides a simple way to initiate the sharing workflow without requiring a separate graphical file-transfer application. Its LAN focus is suited to moving files between devices connected to the same network, while automatic discovery helps recipients find the share. letshare is not described as a public cloud-storage service or as a remote-access system across the internet. Its use depends on the devices being able to reach one another on the local network and on the local server being available during the transfer.
