About loadbearer
loadbearer is a command-line benchmarking tool that measures CPU, memory, disk, network, and GPU performance when a GPU is available. It compares each measurement with a shared reference baseline, assigns component grades on an S-to-F scale, and also produces an overall machine grade. The tool includes comparison mode, which reads two result files and reports which machine performs better, by how much, and why. A sustained-load test measures how much performance a computer maintains after it heats up or throttles under continued demand. This makes the results useful for comparing machines and observing both peak and sustained behavior. loadbearer is distributed as a single self-contained binary, requires no runtime, and makes no network calls. Its evidence does not specify the benchmark workloads or hardware compatibility requirements.
