About Matteshot
Matteshot is a Windows screenshot and screen-recording tool. Pressing Print Screen can capture a window, a selected region, a scrolling page, or the screen, then present the result in one of six styles ready to paste. Offline OCR can extract selected text from an image, while annotation and redaction tools let users mark up or conceal parts of a screenshot. The application also records video, with controls to trim and annotate the recording. This combines still-image capture and screen video in one workflow: capture content, make changes or mark it up, and then paste or save the result. It is free and open source under either the MIT or Apache-2.0 license. Its Windows-focused feature set is intended for users who need to capture, explain, or redact screen content and record desktop activity.
