About md-paste
md-paste converts rich text from the system clipboard into Markdown and writes the converted text back to the clipboard. It reads HTML clipboard content and produces Markdown, allowing formatted material copied from a web page or document to be reused in Markdown-based notes or files. The utility includes a console command-line program and a system-tray application. The tray version can perform the conversion from its menu, while the CLI provides a way to run the same task from a terminal or script. md-paste is intended for users who frequently move formatted text into Markdown. It focuses on clipboard conversion rather than editing or managing Markdown documents. The output is plain Markdown text ready to paste into another application.
