About Media Remote
Media Remote turns a phone, tablet, or another computer into a remote control for media playing on a Windows PC or Mac. It can control playback and volume, mute sound, switch video to full screen, open video links, and start audio or video files from selected folders. The remote device communicates with the computer over a local network or Wi-Fi. This lets users control playback from across a room without returning to the computer’s keyboard. Media Remote is a control interface, not a media player or content service; playback is handled by software on the host computer. Available files and playback functions depend on the configured device and media application.
