About mfsr
mfsr is a command-line tool for applying string replacements across multiple files. It also provides controls for converting character encodings and newline conventions and for handling byte-order marks, the markers some text files use at their beginning. These functions combine bulk text changes with normalization of file representation, which can be useful when maintaining a collection of source or configuration files. mfsr is built as a standalone executable using .NET Native AOT and does not require a separate .NET runtime. Its batch operation targets multiple files, so selected replacements can be applied across a collection instead of opening files one at a time. Users should therefore review the affected files and replacement choices as part of their own workflow.
