About Mocha TN3812
Mocha TN3812 connects an IBM i server’s print output to printers available from a Windows PC. It receives SCS/EBCDIC print jobs using TN5250 and can send them to either local or network printers. Users can queue jobs on the PC and preview their contents before printing, which provides an opportunity to inspect output before it reaches paper. Landscape printing is supported, and the program can remain available as a system-tray icon. Setup involves specifying the server’s IP address and a device name; that name is then used as the printer queue on the server. The server must support the required TN5250 arrangement. This tool handles print routing and preview, rather than creating or editing the business documents that produce the jobs.
