About MShell
MShell is an SSH client with terminal, file-transfer, and remote administration tools. It can connect using passwords or private keys, including RSA, ED25519, and ECDSA keys. Users can group and sort saved sessions, open multiple connections, and use keep-alive and automatic reconnection behavior. Its terminal supports tabs and horizontal or vertical split panes, themes, font and cursor settings, ANSI color, and a scrollback buffer. The client includes SFTP file transfer with a dual-pane local and remote browser. Users can upload or download files in batches, monitor progress, manage a transfer queue, resume incomplete transfers, and perform file operations such as creating, renaming, deleting, or changing permissions. Port forwarding supports local, remote, and dynamic SOCKS5 modes, and saved forwarding templates can be reused. Additional tools include command snippets with variable substitution, searchable command history, scheduled commands, multi-step workflows, SSH key management, and live monitoring of server CPU, memory, disk, and network use. The evidence also describes session usage statistics, audit logs, and session locking. Credentials are stored using Windows DPAPI. These features make MShell a combined terminal and remote-connection workspace, with substantial file-transfer and session-management functions alongside SSH access.
