About NCPA
NCPA is a cross-platform monitoring agent for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It supports active and passive checks, reports real-time metrics, and allows custom plugins to extend the information that can be collected. A web interface provides a way to work with the agent’s monitoring functions. Active checks let a monitoring setup request information, while passive checks allow results to be sent from the agent, supporting different monitoring arrangements. This makes NCPA a flexible component for observing systems across several operating systems and gathering both standard and custom metrics. It is an agent rather than a central dashboard for an entire fleet; the broader monitoring view depends on the monitoring system that receives or requests its data.
