About NetBScanner
NetBScanner scans a chosen IP-address range for computers that respond through NetBIOS. For each device it finds, it can display its address, computer name, workgroup or domain, hardware address, and whether it acts as a Master Browser. The list can be exported to CSV, tab-delimited, XML, or HTML for later review. This makes the utility useful for inspecting older or mixed Windows networks where NetBIOS discovery is in use. It focuses on devices visible through that protocol rather than performing a general vulnerability assessment. Results depend on the selected address range, network configuration, and whether devices respond to NetBIOS requests.
