About nmuidi

nmuidi is a Windows command-line utility for deleting large directory trees. It parallelizes deletion work, which can significantly speed up removing deeply nested folders containing many files compared with a sequential process. The tool is intended for cleanup tasks where a Windows directory structure is large enough that ordinary deletion takes a long time. Its scope is deleting files and folders; it does not describe recovery, preview, or selective filtering. Because deletion is destructive, users should ensure the target path is correct before running it. nmuidi focuses on making recursive removal faster through parallel processing. It is designed for trees with many nested files.
