About OSFMount
OSFMount mounts local disk-image files in Windows as either a physical disk or a logical drive letter. A disk image is a bit-for-bit copy of a disk or partition, and mounting makes the image accessible to the operating system as if it were attached storage. This allows users to work with image contents through Windows tools that recognize disks or drive letters. OSFMount is focused on accessing local disk images rather than creating backups or copying individual files. It provides a way to expose an image as a disk-like object in Windows. The image then appears to Windows as a mounted storage resource.
