About Overwatch Helper
Overwatch Helper is a local desktop agent for an incident-resolution browser extension. It registers with the browser through Native Messaging and runs allowlisted diagnostic commands when requested. The allowlist constrains which commands the helper will execute, while the browser extension provides the request path for incident-resolution workflows. This arrangement connects browser-based support tasks with diagnostics that run on the local computer. Overwatch Helper is a supporting component rather than the incident-management interface itself; its role is to receive approved requests and execute the associated diagnostic commands. The browser extension can request local diagnostics through the registered helper process. when requested
