About OVITO Basic
OVITO Basic is a scientific visualization and data-analysis application for atomistic and other particle-based models. It helps researchers inspect numerical simulation results by presenting particle data visually and supporting analysis of the modeled system. Atomistic models represent matter at the level of atoms, while particle-based models can describe other systems as collections of discrete elements. OVITO Basic is intended for scientific work where simulation output needs to be explored and interpreted. Its focus is visualization and analysis of numerical results rather than conducting the underlying simulation itself.
