About PC GamePak
PC GamePak turns removable storage into a portable game cartridge. A cartridge is a drive in a small enclosure containing a game and a configuration file. When plugged into a computer, a launcher displays the game’s cover art and offers Play and Eject actions. The launcher does not automatically run scripts from the drive; the user must choose Play. A creation wizard can format a drive, copy a game, retrieve cover art, and verify the written files by reading them back and comparing CRC-32 checksums. This provides a workflow for preparing and checking portable game drives. The supplied information does not specify supported games, launcher compatibility, or copy-protection handling. Its focus is packaging games on removable drives with an explicit launch step.
