About Pencil-Desktop
Pencil-Desktop is an agent-driven design canvas built around an open design format that lives in a codebase. It combines a visual surface for design work with an MCP connection that lets compatible agents interact with the canvas. Keeping the design format alongside project files ties visual work to the surrounding development project rather than separating it into a standalone asset. Pencil-Desktop is intended for workflows where people and coding agents collaborate on a design that will be used in software. It brings a canvas and an agent-facing interface together for design work connected to code. The design file stays with the project’s source files, connecting the canvas to the codebase.
