About photorg
photorg organizes photos into folders based on capture date and, optionally, location names. It plans an operation before making changes, copies files by default rather than moving them, and avoids overwriting existing files unless explicitly directed. Duplicate detection uses file content, and an interrupted run can be resumed. Reverse geocoding works offline, so location-based folder names do not require a network connection at run time. These safeguards and options make it suitable for sorting large photo collections while preserving originals. The results depend on the date and location metadata available in the images. Default copy mode leaves the source files in place.
